Ghost of the Tree

Now royalty free. This one act play seven generations of young women at a brief time of their life when they are pregnant. The play opens with a girl on the streets who is pregnant and her conflicted feelings. The next scene is her party-loving mother who finds out, she is inconveniently pregnant and so on back to the eighteen hundreds where we uncover the crime that poisoned the family tree. A family of wealth and power gradually withers away until we are left with the desperate homeless girl as the play ends with her and her fate and her part in the family tree.
